Practising yoga at home is one of the most accessible forms of movement, that is good for both body and mind. You can even do it in your pyjamas.

I have shared below three YouTube channels that I use and highly recommend. These aren't the usual suspects that you always see recommended. And there is a good mix of class types, as well as classes for all levels of practise, whether you are an absolute beginner or wanting to learn more about the physical practise or yoga philosophy.

Himalaya Yoga Valley

I am biased on this one, as I did my yoga teacher training with HYV at their centre in Goa. But their YouTube channel offers a wide range of content type for practise. There is a range of online classes including ones specifically for home practise, and also some asana breakdown classes so you can learn to practise the asana safely. The school founder Lalit has studied yoga for most of his life, and with some of the most well-regarded teachers in the Himalayan tradition. The channel is definitely worth having a look, even if it only inspires you to go learn yoga in Goa!

Tashi Dawa Yoga

Tashi is a wonderful teacher, and I have spent time practising with her in person for the last few years. Tashi's style is vibrant and inspiring, yet very practical and clear. In her own words, she teaches "movement as wisdom classes, including yoga practices as well as functional, meditative and creative movement". She has a selection of classes on her YouTube channel, most lasting about an hour. She also teaches on the Yoga Easy platform (paid subscription required), and in person in Europe at various retreat locations during the summer.

Omstars Yoga

This is a bit more of a well known channel by Kino MacGregor. Kino is one of the most experienced ashtanga yoga teachers in the world. However, there is so much more than ashtanga yoga on the channel. There are classes for beginners, short tutorials, challenges, yoga philosophy talks and meditations. There are even a few chair yoga classes. There really is something for everyone here.

Have a look and let me know what you think! Hopefully you will find some inspiration for your practice or to get started!
