The Well Digest is an evidence-based resource for women who want to understand their health on their own terms.
I'm Karen, a PhD scientist, Registered Associate Nutritionist, health coach and yoga teacher. I spent years biological science and drug safety before training in nutrition and health coaching. What struck me throughout was how much noise surrounds women's health, and how little of it is actually grounded in evidence.
This is my attempt to cut through that.
Everything here is practical, science-backed, and written for women in their 30s, 40s and beyond who are tired of conflicting advice and want to build something that actually lasts.
I believe that understanding why we struggle is just as important as knowing what to do. So alongside the nutrition science you'll find an honest focus on the psychological side of eating and healthy the patterns, the habits, the gap between knowing and actually doing.
There's a particular focus on the things that matter most at this life stage - nutrition, movement, sleep and stress, and what the evidence really says about all of it. Nothing here is faddy, guilt-driven or promising quick fixes.
